Vancouver Opera in Schools presents The Scorpions’ Sting

Vancouver Opera In Schools is one of the largest opera touring programs of its kind in Canada. Started over 40 years ago, VOIS maintains a tradition of professional opera performances in schools throughout British Columbia.

Each season, VOIS introduces the power and beauty of opera to children and their families in schools and community venues across BC. These fully staged operas in English are performed by an energetic cast of professional singers with full sets, costumes and piano accompaniment.

About The Scorpions’ Sting
Three young archeology students searching for the Lost Tomb of Isis are faced with disaster when their professor is stung by a scorpion. Only by working together to decode the hieroglyphics of Isis' story can they save their professor and return home safely.

The Scorpion’s Sting is an entertaining 45-minute opera featuring four singers accompanied by a pianist with dynamic sets and props. The production is suitable for students in Kindergarten through Grade Seven.

On Tour February and March 2018.

Booking opens September 2017.
