Silent Night

I recently attended a performance of a new opera, Silent Night, in Calgary, which retells the story of the spontaneous 1914 Christmas truce among enemy combatants in World War I. This new work composed by Kevin Puts with a libretto by Mark Campbell, is based on the multilingual screen play by Christian Carion for the 2005 film Joyeux Noel.
