Opera Round Table

The Opera Round Table program was established in 1986 as a way to offer special recognition to individual donors for their outstanding annual support. Opera Round Table members are community leaders whose commitment enables Vancouver Opera to maintain the highest standards of artistic excellence.

Opera Round Table members enjoy exclusive privileges in appreciation of their generosity. Among the most valued benefits of membership are reserved parking at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and personalized VIP ticket servicing. We welcome you to become a part of this special group.

Benefactor ($1,200 - $2,499)

• Tax receipt + all Friends Level benefits.
• Acknowledgment in VO's season programs.
• An invitation to the annual Opera Round Table reception.
• Personalized ticket service for exchanges at no cost, or single ticket reserved VIP seats at a 20% discount.
• Priority service during subscription renewal period for seat upgrades and series exchanges.
• Ability to purchase reserved, prepaid parking for the season and private use of the ORT parking entrance, located on Georgia Street, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
• A standing invitation to the private Opera Round Table lounge at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Enjoy a private bar, a private restroom and complimentary coat check.
• A standing invitation to the Prelude Dinners on Saturday performance nights, and the PreShow Suppers on Tuesday and Thursday performance nights.
• A standing invitation to the Opening Night party held onstage immediately following the performance.

Patron ($2,500 - $4,999)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• Complimentary passes (2) to a dress rehearsal of your choice, upon request (subject to availability).
• An invitation to the annual Patron's Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Inner Circle ($5,000 - $9,999)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• An invitation to a Meet the Artists reception each season - an exclusive opportunity to meet the principal artists in a relaxed, social setting.
• Concierge service for your visits to other opera companies. Allow us to provide assistance in obtaining tickets as well as special benefits and privileges when you attend performances away from Vancouver Opera.

Director's Circle ($10,000 - $19,999)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• The opportunity to host a private reception in the theatre before or after a performance. Entertain your friends and family or co-workers and clients at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
• A special viewing from backstage. At your request, we will arrange for you to experience the excitement of opera from a different point of view.
• The opportunity to attend a technical rehearsal upon request. This rehearsal brings together the artists and the onstage environment.
• The opportunity to attend a Sitzprobe. This intriguing rehearsal brings together the entire orchestra and the principal singers for the first time.
• Recognition in print as a sponsor of a principal artist, with the opportunity to meet that artist in an intimate social setting.

Maestro's Circle ($20,000 - $34,999)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• Opportunity to experience an orchestra read.
• Opportunity to experience an orchestra run-through from the orchestra pit.
• Opportunity for an intimate opera prep meeting with a member of the music staff.

Impresario Circle ($35,000 - $49,999)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• Opportunity to be recognized as a production sponsor.
• Opportunity to have dinner with the General Director and Music Director.
• A pair of subscription seats, parking for the performances and 2 seats at a Prelude Dinner for each production of the season
• A pair of tickets for Overture and a pair of tickets for one other fundraiser/gala activity in the season (eg. PURSEuasion)

Leadership Circle ($50,000 and above)

• All of the benefits of the preceding level.
• Access to private recitals arranged at your request to enhance your business or private functions.
• Additional customized benefits.

Priority in requests for subscription series and seat changes or improvements increases according to overall giving at all levels of the Opera Round Table.
