After a successful preview at Vancouver Opera Festival, the Hummingbird is set to take flight in January 2020 at schools across our province.  This new opera for young audience is a co-production with Vancouver Opera and Pacific Opera Victoria, and is influenced by the graphic novel written by Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas and will include elements of his dramatic Haida-manga illustrations. In it, the animals of the forest are inspired to come together by Dukdukdiya, the Hummingbird, to save their beautiful home from a raging fire.
