OPERA LAB:
Creative Learning inspired by performance

The Opera Lab is a set of digital resources for secondary teachers that can be used in the classroom or at home. Inspired by the content of VO’s Digital Season, each resource package includes online access to one of this season’s four operas, background information on the production, and a series of activities for students that address the Big Ideas in the arts, humanities, and career education curricula for students in Grades 8 to 12.

Opera Lab is now available for VO’s production of The Music Shop.

Richard Wargo's The Music Shop premieres Saturday March 13, 2021.

Educators will be provided with the following:

  1. A downloadable study guide
  2. Two activity-based videos taught by VO Teaching Artists
(roughly 5-15 mins in length each)
  3. The opportunity for a virtual, interactive info session or lecture/demonstration with our Yulanda M. Faris Young Artists or Teaching Artists.
