Summer Opera Camp

Vancouver Opera’s Opera Summer Camps are now open for registration!

Join Vancouver Opera Teaching Artists Eve-Lyn De La Haye and Cassie Luftspring for our annual Summer Opera Camp sessions!

Opera camp is a fun-filled musical and theatrical experience. Children and youth will learn about all aspects of producing an opera from writing the libretto and score to designing costumes to performing on stage. The Teen Intensive includes master classes as well as opportunities to create and build the set.

The Junior Camp Program will continue to offer participants aged 8 through 12 the diverse set of opportunities that are found within the process of creating a new, student-led opera.

The Teen Camp Program  which is available to students entering Grade 8 and up is a well-rounded experience to allow for participants to bring their contributions and expertise to the project. From composition and stage presence to set and prop building, participants will touch on all aspects of bringing a production to the stage. This year, participants in Teen Camp will be invited to a special Performance in Deer Lake on July 17th.

We look forward to having you back at the camp this summer!
