Summer Opera Camp

Opera Camp in the Park!

Vancouver Opera was delighted to partner with Trout Lake Community Centre to run two weeks of opera camps for children ages 8-13. The program fosters creativity and encourages collaboration and inclusivity.  At the end of each week the students presented an opera that they had written, composed, and created based on the books, Rainbow Weaver by Linda Elovitz Marshall and One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of Gambia by Miranda Paul.

Join us next season for a fun-filled musical and theatrical experience where kids create it all!

Camp runs for one week:
Monday through Friday
July 5-9th & July 12-16th
9:00am – 3:30pm
Ages 8-13 years
Price per week = $285.00

Registration will take place through Trout Lake Community Centre’s online registration portal starting June 10th at 7pm, or by phone at (604) 257-6955.

We also have bursaries for the program available! Email us to inquire!

Camps will run rain or shine!
