Will Programs Be Available?

Currently, printed House Programs will not be available for the 2020 performances. All ticket buyers and subscribers will be emailed a House Program ahead of the performance that will be accessible also on our website by phone or desktop computers. We intend to offer printed House Programs at future performances, when restrictions ease.

May I Bring Children?

Yes, we welcome opera fans of all ages. All attendees, including children, must be ticketed for the performance. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. In all cases, please use discretion when deciding to bring a child as a performance and for everyone’s enjoyment, disruptive patrons will be asked by an usher to leave the theatre. Please call our ticket centre for more information about our child pricing.

Will There Be Pre-Show Talks?

Due to the strict safety protocols we will be pre-recording preview talks and will be available on our website at least 24 hours before opening night.

Are The Operas Translated?

Yes, English Surtitles—translated lyrics—are projected above a stage so patrons can understand what is being sung.

Do You Have Wheelchair Seating?

Yes, wheelchair and companion seating can be arranged through the VO ticket centre by calling 604 683 0222.

Paperless Tickets

To provide a touchless experience, we are only issuing electronic (print-at-home and mobile) tickets, including subscription tickets. Patrons must purchase tickets in advance either over the phone or online.

Worry Free Refund Policy

Refunds will be granted up to X days after the date of purchase. Refunds are only available for performances scheduled after your request.
